Dr. Gauri Shankar Akula completed his MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai and subsequently his MS in General Surgery from Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He then specialised in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery from the reputed Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals in Mumbai .
Following his specialisation, he went on to pursue a Fellowship in Reconstructive Surgery at St. Andrew’s Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, Chelmsford, United Kingdom. He has over 13 years of experience as a surgeon and his areas of special interest include reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries.
Dr. Gauri Shankar has performed complex surgeries such as limb and finger replantation, ear reconstruction, microvascular flap surgeries, head and neck reconstructive surgeries and cosmetic procedures such as abdominoplasty, breast reduction and augmentation, rhinoplasty, and genital rejuvenation procedures.
