Dr. Mansi Khanderia graduated from the esteemed K.E.M hospital, Mumbai and subsequently pursued her post-graduation in Internal Medicine. During the early years of her career, she worked as a junior consultant at some of the leading corporate hospitals in Bangalore, including Fortis, Sakra, and HCG.
She later went on to pursue a super specialization in DNB Medical Oncology at HCG.
Dr. Mansi’s exceptional academic performance led her to top the medical oncology exams at the National level, receiving the prestigious PRESIDENT NBE National Gold Medal in Medical Oncology at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
As a testament to her commitment to advancing her skills and knowledge, Dr. Mansi was awarded a scholarship for an international travel fellowship in Breast Cancer at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she received valuable training in treating breast cancers.
Through her participation in various ESMO preceptorships held in Singapore and other countries across Europe, she has gained valuable insights in managing breast cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, lymphomas and prostate cancers.
Dr. Mansi Khanderia is an ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) certified Medical Oncologist and a certified Palliative Care Physician by the Indian Association of Palliative Care.
Prior to joining SPARSH, Dr. Mansi worked as a Consultant Medical Oncologist at Narayana Health City, Bangalore for over five years. She then took the lead in setting up the first private comprehensive cancer hospital in Mauritius and accomplished it successfully.
She has many publications to her credit and has presented several papers in national and international conferences. She treats all solid and hematological cancers and is trained to perform bone marrow transplants as well.
Her areas of special interest include:
1. Women’s oncology – Breast and Gynecological cancers (ovary/uterus/cervix)
2. AYA cancers (Cancers in Adolescents and Young Adults) like lymphomas,sarcomas and germ cell tumors.
3. GI cancers (Gastrointestinal malignancies – Colorectal, Pancreato-biliary, esophagus, stomach, and liver cancers)
4. Precision Medicine and Targeted therapies.
Dr. Mansi strongly believes in a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care and is an advocate for Integrative Oncology. She places a strong emphasis on improving the quality of life of both patients and caregivers, and encourages informed decision-making in her practice. As a staunch anti-tobacco activist, she is vocal about the disparities in cancers in LMIC (Low and Middle-Income Countries) in global forums, and is actively involved in formulating national cancer guidelines.
