Dr. Praveen Mathew is a senior gastroenterologist from Bangalore. After completing his MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Mysore, he pursued his super-speciality training with a DM in Medical Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, Mumbai. He then completed a Fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound at the Institute of Advanced Endoscopy, Mumbai.
Dr. Praveen has served as a Professor of Medical Gastroenterology and has trained numerous DM Gastroenterology students. He carries extensive experience in managing both simple and complex diseases of the gastrointestinal system, pancreas, and liver.
Over the past few decades, he has developed exceptional skills in performing a wide range of complex endoscopic surgeries and procedures. His expertise spans from routine Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy to advanced interventions such as ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound-guided procedures, SpyGlass Cholangioscopy with laser treatment for bile duct stones, third space procedures (POEM, EMR, ESD), and single/double balloon enteroscopy for small intestine evaluation.
