Dr. Raghavendra Babu is an accomplished Surgical Gastroenterologist and Senior Consultant who specializes in Hepato-biliary, Pancreatic surgery, and Liver Transplantation. In his previous position, he served as the director of Gastrointestinal and HPB Surgery at Cytecare Hospital and also Head of these departments at the prestigious HCG Hospital in Bangalore and is recognized for leading the highest volume Liver and Pancreas surgery unit in Karnataka.
After having completed his MBBS from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, he pursued his MS in General Surgery from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi University and followed it up with an MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology from the prestigious Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi.
He has completed Fellowship in HPB Surgery & Liver Transplant from Mie University Hospital, Japan and Fellowship in HPB Surgery and Transplantation from The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, UK (CCT from Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He is also an Intuitive certified in Robotic Surgery and has extensive experience in the field of minimally invasive and Robotic surgery.
