His commitment to patient care is evident in his approach, which combines personalized attention with thorough explanations of medical conditions. He is widely recognized for his expertise in performing complex coronary interventions, which he has done for over 20 years. These interventions include stenting for aortic dissections and Takayasu arteritis, chronic occlusion treatment, rota-ablation, para-valvular leak closures, and various congenital heart defect closures such as atrial septal defects, patent ductus arteriosus, and ventricular septal defects.
Dr. Shetty is also a pioneer in Southeast Asia for his work in left atrial appendage closure, having performed the highest number of such procedures in India. His extensive experience extends to structural heart disease interventions, peripheral interventions, and device implantations. Additionally, he is skilled in trans-aortic valve implantations, complex coronary interventions, and device implants.
Throughout his career, Dr. Shetty has authored and co-authored numerous academic publications and has played an instrumental role in organizing and chairing several international cardiology conferences. His clinical services include angiograms, pacemaker implantation, coronary angioplasty, stenting, cardiac ablation, carotid angioplasty, heart valve replacements, and more.
