Dr. Swetha S. Reddy is a highly qualified and experienced Gynaecologist and Obstetrician with a diverse educational background. She completed her M.B.B.S. from Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College and Hospital, Kolar, Karnataka and later pursued a Master’s in Surgery (M.S.) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Fr. Muller Medical College and Hospital, Mangalore. She further obtained a D.N.B. from Bangalore Medical College and Hospital.

With a cumulative experience of 15 years in various roles, Dr. Reddy has made substantial contributions to the healthcare sector. She commenced her career as a Junior Consultant a St.Philomena’s Hospital, Bangalore, assuming a pivotal role as a mentor for DNB students and MRCOG aspirants. Progressing in her career, she later held the position of Assistant Professor at Sapthagiri Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore, operating independently and fulfilling responsibilities as a teaching faculty.

In the succeeding years, Dr. Swetha S. Reddy progressed to become a Senior Consultant at St. Philomena’s Hospital, Bangalore. Concurrently guiding and instructing DNB students, she actively participated as a teaching faculty in the Family Medicine Department. Subsequently, she assumed the role of a Visiting Consultant at multiple medical institutions, including Ovum in HRBR Layout, Sakaria Hospitals in Hennur, Sri Shridi Sai Hospital in Devanahalli, Belagu Clinic in Sulbele Road, Devanahalli, and IHI Hospital in Vijipura.

Dr. Reddy possesses extensive surgical experience, including Caesarean sections, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies with pelvic floor repair, obstetric and gynaecological D & C, and a special interest in Non-Descent Vaginal Hysterectomy. She is proficient in laparotomies, ruptured ectopic pregnancies, tubal ligation procedures, and various endoscopic procedures.

Her research endeavours include a clinical study on “Comparison of Butorphanol and Pethidine in Labour Analgesia. Dr. Reddy has presented at several conferences and workshops, showcasing her expertise in areas such as labour analgesia, internal iliac artery ligation, and gynaecologic surgical procedures.

Notably, she is involved in volunteer activities at monthly medical camps, contributing to the well-being of communities in Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Vrundha, Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur. Additionally, she volunteers at Divine Mother and Child Care and Sri Sathya Sai Sarala Memorial Hospital, Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur, focusing on maternal and child health in remote villages of Karnataka. Her commitment to public health is evident through her role as the Incharge of a Primary Health Center (PHC) at Gulur Village, Bagepalli, where pregnant women receive regular screenings and essential supplements to address prevalent conditions such as anaemia.
